Introduction

The Man Behind the Story, Ed White

I am a retired Christian minister from Indianapolis, Indiana, who has spent many years dedicating my life to serving the Lord and the Christian community. Growing up in a humble environment, I began working at the age of nine through a newspaper route and later mowed lawns, which taught me the value of hard work and responsibility. After many years in ministry, I retired in 2008, but I continue to inspire others through my writing and my commitment to sharing my faith. My first book, Lord, Teach Us to Pray, was published in 1990, and since then, I have written several books, including two in the “Insights from the Heart of a Shepherd” series.

I hold three degrees, including two Master’s Degrees, and remain passionate about learning and teaching. Currently, I am working on a third book and a children’s story that I plan to publish soon. My writing reflects my dedication to serving Jesus and helping others grow in their faith. With a goal to continue writing for another ten years, I hope my books will continue to inspire and encourage others, just as I have done throughout my ministry.

Author’s Life & Approaches

As an author, my writing is rooted in my commitment to serving the Lord and inspiring others through faith-driven storytelling.

I began working at the age of nine with a newspaper route, and later I mowed lawns. These early jobs taught me the values of hard work and responsibility, shaping who I am today. These lessons have guided me throughout my life, both in ministry and in writing.

My writing journey began with my first book, Lord, Teach Us to Pray, published in 1990. Since then, I have written several books. I draw inspiration from modern-day Christian heroes like Corrie Ten Boom, Eric Liddell, and Richard Wurmbrand.

For many years, I dedicated my life to serving the Lord and the Christian community as a minister in Christian churches. Ministry wasn’t just a job for me. It was my calling. After retiring in 2008, I have continued to serve through my writing and focused on helping others grow spiritually and emotionally.

My writing approach is deeply rooted in my years of ministry and service to the Lord. I combine biblical insights with personal experiences to encourage readers in their spiritual growth. With a focus on serving Jesus, I help others to live with purpose and find strength in God’s calling.
